I studied psychology at Columbia University where I assisted on research for some of the top psychologists in the U.S. on topics such as Fixed vs Growth Mindsets (Dweck), emotion regulation (Mischel) and mother/toddler bonding (Beebe). Later I returned to Columbia for my MSW. My background in behavioral science informs my therapeutic approach. In my nearly 10 years of experience I’ve provided psychotherapy in outpatient clinics, hospitals and private practice.
I create sessions that are highly collaborative and personalized, and that offer a safe environment to process difficult emotions and experiences. I work to provide my clients with the skills, understanding and self-awareness they need to feel more at peace and lead more satisfying lives.
After just a few sessions clients can come away with a significant amount of knowledge, skills and insight. I work at the speed clients are comfortable with, while always encouraging forward motion. Without forward motion there is no therapy. The more motivated the client, the more they will progress.
Please note: I accept out-of-network and private pay only
